Dinner with the family
Last night Casey, Brooke and I went to dinner with my mom, dad, Nick and Becky. We had such a great time! Although Brooke had fallen asleep on the way to the restaurant and was so tired, she didn’t let anyone know. All eyes were on her and she was loving it! She sat in her highchair making the cutest faces and doing her pretend cough. J At one point, she put her hand over her face (almost poking her eyes out) while making this cheesy smile! It was so cute. She loved that everyone was laughing at her! She brings joy to all of us! We love you Brooke!

New Things Brooke is Doing!
Yesterday, while driving to church, I kept looking back at her through the mirror on her seat. I noticed she kept sticking her tongue out and moving it around. This went on the whole way to church. It was so cute! I hadn't seen her do that before. She ended up doing it the rest of the night. When she wasn't doing it, I would say "where's your tongue" and out of her mouth it would come!

Brooke loves music...
Brooke really does love music. How do I know? Well, as soon as she hears it she stops and looks around. It comforts her when she is crying and makes her happy when she is banging on the drums. Casey wrote a song for her when I was pregnant and painted some of it on a wall in her room. You can ask her “Brooke, where’s the music?” and she will turn her head to look at it. She then gets so excited and starts kicking her legs and waving her arms. Music is definitely in her blood.

Update on Our Sweetheart
Wow, it has been a long time since we wrote something about Brooke. She has changed so much! She now has 6 teeth!! Two on top and 4 on the bottom. She’s pulling up on everything. And she’s so talkative! I love hearing her voice! She still doesn’t really crawl except going backwards, but her walking abilities are getting better and better! She runs in her walker and does so well when she’s holding our hands. She is such a quick learner too. She watches everything we do and tries to copy us. It’s so cute when she is so tired and finally gives up by laying her head down on whoever is holding her. Then she keeps throwing her head up with a huge smile because she doesn’t want to stop playing. And really we don’t either! Her smile just lights up her whole face!
