7 month update

It's been 7 months since Casey and I were married. I can honestly say that it has been the most amazing time in my life. There's just a different feeling now knowing that each day I get to wake up with the love of my life and fall asleep with him too. Some people say this is just still part of the honeymoon phase, but for me it is total contentment. He has been the most amazing husband, always taking the best care of me. Our wedding was such an awesome experience and I can't express how grateful I am to all the family and friends it took to pull everything together. I love all of you!

What is Multiple Sclerosis (MS) ?

My wife, Stephanie, has MS and has been battling this disease for quite some time now. She is not affected as bad as others who have this disease but does suffer from its symptoms from time to time.

Learn about MS below and follow the link below for more details.

Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another. Today, new treatments and advances in research are giving new hope to people affected by the disease.

MS is Thought to be an Autoimmune Disease

The body’s own defense system attacks myelin, the fatty substance that surrounds and protects the nerve fibers in the central nervous system. The nerve fibers themselves can also be damaged. The damaged myelin forms scar tissue (sclerosis), which gives the disease its name. When any part of the myelin sheath or nerve fiber is damaged or destroyed, nerve impulses traveling to and from the brain and spinal cord are distorted or interrupted, producing the variety of symptoms that can occur.

Most people with MS learn to cope with the disease and continue to lead satisfying, productive lives.

New Stuff

Well, this marks the beginning of the family blogging "stuff". I see a lot of people are using this as a form of update and figured I would join the horde.

We are patiently awaiting the arrival of our new family member and should be assiduously preparing our house for the new resident but have surely fallen behind.

I will have some pictures, new posts, etc up soon.
